"Blind Man"
3-7-04

You look into my eyes, you see nothing
How can I deny that you've looked so shallow
You see determination as over reaction
My sympathies for what you've come to be
Listen can you hear me screaming
A glazed look of rage
Written on my face

Losing hope though I've tried hard
You're just another blind man to me
Painting this place black forever
A blind man who misunderstands me

You don't appear to care for any of us
Personal slaves instead of a union
Punished and stabbed in the back before them
Just for learning, attempting to lead
Listen can you hear them talking
Their face in utter mockery
Morality disipating to merely nothing

Losing hope though I've tried hard
You're just another blind man to me
Painting this place black forever
A blind man who misunderstands me

Will you ever see, this is not the way
You were once like me, a human being
But I don't promote creating misery

Losing hope though I've tried hard
You're just a blind man to me
Painting this place in black forever
A blind man who misunderstands me
Painting this place in black
Painting this place in black

"Walk Alone"
3-7-04

You rarely attempt communication
Ironically, just like everyone else
Humanity not seeing how special you've become
Imprisoned inside your mind
Just as black as I can see
Innocently martyred by cruelness of instinct
Quiet as an abandoned church
Broken as the wood strips itself
The beauty of ugliness they all fail to see

Clearly not what they expected
You walk alone
Through vague shadoes in this darkness
You walk alone
You walk alone

Extending my hand to greet you
Daring to see what lays beneath
Shaking, eyes black from insomnia, you take it
Walking together, the grass waving
Sun shining down so brightly
Fear takes over, you pull and run away

Clearly not what they expected
You walk alone
Through vague shadows in this darkness
You walk alone
You walk alone

Laying down to sleep
My mind drifts off confused
Hoping someone tries to extend once again

"Plea"
3-7-04

Do you still feel as you did
Days ago we frolicked happily
Dressing so intent on your beauty
Taking your hand in mine so softly
I tell you once again, I only want you
The light from your smile filling the room
Now you seem so quiet and unsure
Is it possible you fell out of love with me

I cry, knowing that I tried
I cried more, knowing you've tried the same
Occasionally I see your bright smile
Cliche as it is, have I done something wrong
I know that you're questioning our time as waste
I'm everything I was then and more
How can I enjoy that when I see you so lifeless
You've got to speak to me, please don't shut me out

Am I not the man you wanted all along
Am I just afraid to even say "hi"
Upsetting as it is, things just happen
This doesn't have to end, words can save us

"Pondering"
3-7-04

The wind dies down once in oh so long
Nothing more to worry about now
A bull running down in the prairie
Letting nothing get in its way
Powerful yet so vulnerable
Oddly, very much like myself
Trying for another day
Laying, curling up so peacefully

Hush my little baby, everything's okay now

Staring at the rocky ceiling
Wondering how life became this way
Must've made a wrong turn somewhere
Right now it reaally doesn't matter
Pulling up security, rolling over comfort
Awakening, all is so very dark now
There is no one around to see
Eyes closing, drifting off so peacefully

Hush my little baby, everything's okay now
